Today was the first day of E3 and it could not have been any cooler. After wondering around for a few minutes in utter awe, we came across a booth where there was a guy playing rock band with a guitar I have never seen. And on the other side of the booth there was another guy playing real guitar hooked up to a amp and the guitar looked exactly like the one hooked up to guitar hero. It turns out, they were the exact same guitar. It is a guitar that you can use to play ANY music game on ANY platform. Not only that but if you feel like jammin’ out for real, just plug it in your amp and play it like a real guitar. It’s called music mode and has multiple settings. You can choose from multiple acoustic, electric, 12 string, etc. guitars. It also has a variety of preloaded drum beats and tracks from a variety of genres.
The controller/guitar also TRIPLES as a MIDI controller for all of you DJ’s out there. And if your not that good at guitar but want to sound amazing, the guitar has a setting called “You Rock Mode 1″. What the You Rock Mode does is never let you play a wrong note. No matter what note you hit, the guitar keeps you in the right chord progression which can make a new-born baby sound like Eddie Van Halen. The second You Rock Mode teaches you the scales in a “game like fashion”.
