John has been an avid gamer since the first time he got his hands on Game & Watch’s Parachute. John prefers FPS, stylish hack and slashers, fighters, sunsets, cold weather, all things Capcom, anime, hip hop, kung fu flicks, and fried chicken. And even though those are his preferences, he’s been known to like a little bit of everything. At the moment, John is watching episodes of Naruto Shippuden in hopes to perfect his own personal ninja art jutsu.
His writing experience is comprised of completed black and white composition books, as well as a few blogs. However what’s really important is his gaming experience. John has logged in over a brazilian hours in front of a video game screen. Whether its a hand held portable like the PSP or the Game Gear, or connected to a console like the Genesis or X-Box 360, or attached to a joystick on an old school arcade cabinet. If John hasn’t played it, then he sure as shooting has heard about it; and chances are, he might even have it reserved at his local Gamestop.

Finding his love for digital media arts at an early age, he vowed to do whatever it took to become a game designer in the video game industry. Gaming has been a major part of Aaron’s life ever since childhood. His first game system was an Atari 2600 at the age of 4, and some of his earliest memories are of playing Asteroids, Yar’s Revenge, E.T., and Berserk for hours on end.
He is currently the owner of a Mac based web hosting company, and is busy raising a second generation gamer.

Richard Buecheler was born in Syracuse NY. After graduating from Faettvill-Manlius high school in 1996 he obtained a bachelors degree in Graphic Arts from The Laguna Collage of Art and Design. Currently working as a Senior Web Designer, he has remained an avid gamer since the days of the Atari 2600.
A father and husband, he provides an interesting take on gaming for those with limited time to play.

Alex has been interested in games since he first enjoyed Super Mario Brothers on Nintendo 64. After digging into Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, he found a love for most RPGs and adventure games, anything he could customize or upgrade as the game progressed. Currently enrolled as a Computer Science major at Sonoma State University, he has taken it upon himself to learn the talk of the trade and delve further into his interest in gaming. He also enjoys outdoor activities and plans to join the Ultimate Frisbee team at SSU this year.

Daves owns a lot of game systems. While many of them are obligatory, he’s proud to own several oddballs. He chose TurboGrafx over Genesis. He chose Lynx over Gameboy. (He does own the Genesis and Gameboy, but he got them years later and in weird versions. X’Eye, anybody?) He’s still scratching his head over having managed to dodge the Jaguar bullet. He has a working Vectrex and loves to turn up the brightness to see the strings. Emulators are nice, but Stella can’t replicate his joy of yanking out the cartridge mid-game to see the pretty colors. His current system is the Xbox 360. He is eagerly anticipating his third encounter with the 3 Red Lights.

I have been playing video games since before I could even read. In fact, most of my earliest memories are of ancient video games I would play on my Apple IIsi. Of course, the world of gaming changed, so I changed with it, playing every single game I could get my hands on for every system that has come out in my lifetime. Seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised if I have played over 75% of all the games ever made, even the crappy ones and Japan-only ones. Yeah, kinda sad claim to fame, but there you go!
Although still an avid gamer, I am currently studying to become a teacher, but my lifelong dream has always been and always will be to become a video game designer like Sid Meier or Peter Molynuex.

Born from the fire pits of the Underworld by the hands of Hades himself, I was to be abandoned immediately due to me having a striking resemblance to looking like the milkman. My uncle Zeus promptly took me under his care and soon I myself became a god! ‘Luchas’ the God of the Suplex!! For wherever there were a man to slam another in a bout, I was responsible.
Days would pass as I planned my cunning strategy to destroy Hades for abandoning me…… days turned into months and months into years….. before i knew it, the year was 1986 with a new marvel to be held by the world. A Nintendo game system. A new vow was struck that year…. I would smite this Bowser and save the Princess Peach vicariously through this Italian plumber! From that moment on, video gaming and I had become one. Many more vows were made as the video gaming industry grew as I saved more princesses to saving the planet from countless alien invasions….. I have yet to move out of my Uncle Zues’ condo on Mount Olympus…

I play games for fun. Yeah, I’m old and married, but I still like to put some time into good games. The first game I really ever spent a ton of time on was an old coin-op machine at a pizza place near my house… Remember Gauntlet (“Blue Elf is about to die…”). Eventually my parents got me my first system (a year after everyone else go it) and Mario made his way into my hands along with Kung-Fu and Pro Wrestling. Yeah, I went through a Street Fighter 2 phase like everyone else, but now I appreciate games like Oblivion, Mass Effect, Bio-Shock, Perfect Dark Zero (what happened to local multiplayers?), Killzone 2, and Resistance. I still think the best franchises ever created are Zelda and Metroid (sorry Halo fan-boys). Tiger Woods has also received a good amount of my attention over the years, but Madden and NHL games somehow passed me by. I appreciate a thoughtful storyline, decent graphics, but overall, I just want a game I can play and enjoy.

Jeff was first transfixed by Pitfall on the Atari 2600. Unfortunately, the Atari belonged to Jeff’s two older brothers so he had to sneak in games whenever they weren’t looking. But fate would later smile on Jeff. For his 10th birthday, his wonderful parents gave him his very own game system – a Nintendo Entertainment System (with Zapper and R.O.B.!) Several Nintendos and XBoxes later, his family is still waiting for him to outgrow “this phase.”

I am 18 years old and I currently live in Melbourne, Florida. I have been a gamer since I was a little kid. My First Console was a Nintendo Entertainment System, which I had to share with my two older brothers, and I still have somewhere. The games I had for it are Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros, and every Legend of Zelda game for the console. The other consoles I have/had are a PC, Play Station1 and 2, Sega Game Gear, every Game Boy known to man (and some species of monkey), Nintendo 64, Game Cube, PSP, the Xbox, and currently the Xbox 360. My specialty games are First Person Shooters, Role Playing Games, and some MMORPG’s. I’m currently a senior in high school and trying to get into college for either music or game design.
